Jemele Hill Calls For UFC Analyst Joe Rogan To Apologize

Longtime UFC analyst Joe Rogan is facing some heat on social media for his behavior at the Freedom 250 event at the White House.

Rogan, who is known for his "Joe Rogan Experience" podcast, also serves as the in-ring reporter for big-time UFC events. He was in Washington, D.C. over the weekend, for the Freedom 250 event at the White House. President Trump, in honor of his birthday, hosted a huge UFC event on the White House lawn.

After defeating Derrick Lewis on the South Lawn of the White House, Josh Hokit made headlines for his post-fight interview. Hokit grabbed the microphone from Rogan and made a derogatory comment about Michelle Obama.

"Lastly, Michelle Obama is a man," Hokit yelled. "Am I right, America?"

Instead of denouncing those remarks, Rogan responded: "Ladies and gentlemen, Josh Hokit."

While Hokit has rightfully faced a ton of criticism for his comments on the former First Lady of the United States, Rogan is facing backlash, too.

Many feel that Rogan didn't condemn the comments quickly enough. Others took issue with his smiling during the interview.

Former ESPN host Jemele Hill is among those to call Rogan out.

Rogan faces calls to apologize for his behavior

Rogan is facing a lot of criticism online.

"He should apologize, too," one fan added.

Hill, a longtime star at ESPN, is among those to have called out Rogan on social media this week.

"Oh that was nice. Josh Hokit ended his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan by calling Michelle Obama a man. Nothing says let's celebrate America quite like that. Truly special," she wrote.

"A real condemnation would actually be an apology instead of hiding behind free speech, as if that has anything to do with wanting your own league represented a certain way."

Hill said more on her show, too.

"Joe Rogan stood there and said absolutely nothing," Hill said. "At the very least, what you should have said is, ‘We don't do that here,' and you can move on. The broadcasters, they acted like nothing happened. They just went back to glazing Donald Trump like they had been doing pretty much the whole broadcast."

Does Rogan need to apologize, too?
