NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani Confirms Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Wedding Plans

The New York City wedding between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift appears to be happening this summer.

Kelce, 36, and Swift, 35, are reportedly set to tie the knot in New York City later this summer. The wedding will reportedly be held at Madison Square Garden. More than 1,000 people have been invited to the event, which is expected to have a seven-figure price tag.

While neither Kelce nor Swift have publicly confirmed their Madison Square Garden wedding plans, the event appears to be happening. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani spoke about it this week.

Mamdani confirmed that New York City is used to hosting big-time events, like the NBA Finals and World Cup.

He then referenced Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding.

"We are used to big events, and we are incredibly excited for [FIFA World Cup]. We know it coincides with the Knicks' [NBA] Finals run. We know it coincides with July 4, America 250, Taylor Swift's wedding -- all happening at the same time -- and we are so excited to welcome the world here," he said.

Will Mamdani get the wedding invite?

It doesn't sound like Mamdani will be in attendance, though.

He responded quickly: "No," when asked if he had an invite.

However, he did wish that Kelce and Swift have "a lovely wedding" and he said that he'll listen to Swift's 2020 song "Only the Young" from the comfort of his home while the two tie the knot.

The wedding between the three-time Super Bowl-winning tight end and the iconic pop star is expected to happen next month at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
