Eric Trump At Center Of UFC White House Cheating Scandal

Just hours before UFC Freedom 250 kicked off Sunday on the South Lawn of the White House, a concerning social media post was shared by former MMA star Daniel Cormier.

Cormier shared a series of messages involving him and the president's second son, Eric Trump, on the platform formerly known as Twitter. The conversation started off with Trump allegedly asking for information about Sunday's fighters before eventually saying, "Are any of the fights tomorrow rigged? I've been eyeing the Lopes fight and I think an upset wouldn't be too unrealistic."

Screenshots of this alleged conversation between Cormier and Trump were shared along with a fiery message from the UFC legend.

"I'm probably going to get a lot of flak for bringing this to light, however I refuse to stay silent," Cormier's post stated. "The UFC is a sport that I am deeply passionate about I will not tolerate this type of insider behavior. Shame on anyone trying to ruin this beautiful event."

UFC fans and media members managed to grab screenshots of this post before it was taken down by Cormier.

Did this conversation really happen?

Cormier basically insulted anyone who believes the messages between him and Trump are real by writing, "Are people really this dumb?"

Trump, on the other hand, said people fell for AI-generated content Sunday night.

"We are aware of the fake, AI generated screenshots being circulated online," Trump wrote on X. "I have never spoken to Daniel. He has since deleted his post, which confirms it was clearly fabricated."

This community note is currently attached to Trump's post: "Multiple journalists and eyewitnesses confirm Daniel Cormier posted the screenshots himself before deleting them. Deleting a post from a verified account does not confirm fabrication, and participants in a conversation cannot 'fall for' AI fakes of their own direct messages."

It's safe to say the UFC community is a bit thrown off by the mixed messages online.
