WNBA to Punish Caitlin Clark After Indiana Fever Game
Caitlin Clark led the Indiana Fever to an 85-75 win against the Connecticut Sun on Saturday, recording 25 points on 10-of-17 shooting, along with three rebounds, five assists and one block. It was Indiana's third straight victory, helping the team improve to 8-5 on the season.
Clark also made five 3-pointers on 10 attempts during the game, which allowed her to move up to sixth place on Indiana's all-time 3-point makes list. It's worth noting that she's just in her third WNBA season and even missed the majority of her second year.
Despite her memorable performance, Clark did get some bad news. She received a technical foul with 22 seconds left in the contest. That means she's due to receive another fine from the WNBA.
It's worth noting that the tech is Clark's fourth of the season. She received her third tech during their previous game against the Chicago Sky when she showed her frustration over a non-call.
That being said, the WNBA is set to penalize Clark with a $1,000 fine. A player's first three technical fouls each carry a $500 fine, while the fourth through seventh technical fouls cost $1,000 each.
What's more worrisome for Clark is she's halfway to reaching the technical foul limit. Once she reaches her eighth technical foul, she will be automatically suspended for one game, along with a $1,500 fine.

Clark nearly got ejected in the game against the Sun, though. She was initially called for a technical foul after kicking the ball out of bounds when trying to kick it back up with 2:30 left to play.
Alongside her second tech in the closing seconds, that would have warranted an ejection.
Fortunately for Clark, her first tech was changed to a team delay, allowing her to avoid ejection.
