Brazil vs. Morocco Player Ratings: Man of the Match, Winners and Disappointments

Brazil played their first match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup as the Seleção were held to a 1-1 draw by Morocco in their Group C opener.

Morocco started well and put Brazil under pressure in the opening stages. While Carlo Ancelotti's squad had an early opportunity to take the lead, Thiago failed to convert a golden chance in front of goal.

The African side made their strong start count when Ismail Saibari opened the scoring, leaving many Brazil supporters frustrated. However, Vinícius Júnior responded with a superb goal in the 32nd minute to bring Brazil level and settle his team's nerves.

Both sides had opportunities after the break, but neither could find a winning goal. Morocco came closest in stoppage time when they created a late chance that could have secured all three points.
