Indiana Fever Make Decision on WNBA Rookie Before Chicago Sky Game
It looks like Indiana Fever fans will have to wait a little bit longer to see Justine Pissott in action.
The Fever rookie, taken 25th overall in the 2026 WNBA Draft, was a late addition to the team's injury report for the game against the Chicago Sky on Thursday. Earlier in the day, Indiana only had Sophie Cunningham and Caitlin Clark on the injury report before listing Pissott as out due to "coach's decision."
Pissott has yet to play in the 2026 campaign. However, it's worth noting that she's under a player development contract, which limits her to playing in just 12 games per season.
By the looks of it, Fever head coach Stephanie White was supposed to activate Pissott against the Sky. As RotoWire explained, by adding her to the injury report, the Fever preserved her remaining eligibility.
Pissott played for Tennessee and Vanderbilt in college. Across four seasons, she appeared in 117 games and averaged 6.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 assist. Her best campaign came in her final year, when she put up 11.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists for Vandy.
Indiana Fever Make Roster Move
With Cunningham ultimately being sidelined, the Fever activated a player to add some depth to the roster.
While Pissott is out, her fellow developmental player Bree Hall has been activated, per Chloe Peterson of the Indianapolis Star.
Hall has not played in a regular season game this 2026 as well, but she did make one appearance for Indiana last season. The 22-year-old guard also played in three games for the Golden State Valkyries in 2025.
