Rangers place LHP Jalen Beeks (back) on injured list
The Texas Rangers placed relief pitcher Jalen Beeks on the 15-day injured list Thursday due to low back spasms.
The 32-year-old left-hander is 2-1 with a 3.81 ERA in 29 games out of the bullpen in his first season with Texas.
Beeks is 30-19 with 16 saves and a 4.28 ERA in 292 career games (21 starts) with six teams since his 2018 debut.
The Rangers recalled right-hander Luis Curvelo (0-0, 4.91 ERA) from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move.
