What Is Caitlin Clark's Record vs. Angel Reese in the WNBA?

Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark got the best of Angel Reese once again.

The Fever hosted the Atlanta Dream at Gainbridge Fieldhouse to start their WNBA Commissioner's Cup title defense on Thursday night. This marked the first matchup for both teams this season. This is also the first time that Clark faced Reese now that she's with a new team.

Indiana got the win, 83-71. Clark led the way for the Fever with 17 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. Kelsey Mitchell had 25 points, while Aliyah Boston scored 19 points and had three blocks.

Reese had her usual double-double for the Dream with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Jordin Canada and Allisha Gray contributed 13 points each for Atlanta.

Unfortunately for Atlanta's star, it was Clark who came out victorious once again. They are now 5-1 in the WNBA, with Clark further extending her lead against her counterpart.

Reese can't seem to overcome the Clark challenge. She last won against the sharpshooting guard on June 23, 2024, when she was still with the Chicago Sky.

Their rivalry started during their collegiate basketball careers. Reese was with the LSU Tigers while Clark was with the Iowa Hawkeyes.

They faced each other in the 2023 NCAA national championship game, where the Tigers defeated the Hawkeyes. In the following season, Iowa eliminated LSU in their Elite Eight matchup.

Since then, the pair has established one of the most heated on-court rivalries in all of the WNBA.

Reese will have the chance to make the record 5-3 by winning their next two matchups this season. Reese and Clark face off again on June 18 and June 20.
