Skip Bayless Falls For Fake Caitlin Clark, Stephanie White Report

Skip Bayless fell for some fake news on Sunday night.

The former ESPN star, who recently made an appearance on "First Take," reuniting with Stephen A. Smith, weighed in on a report about Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White and star point guard Caitlin Clark. The Fever dropped to 4-4 on the season with a loss to Portland over the weekend. Clark was benched after racking up a bunch of fouls.

Things to a bit heated between White and Clark on the bench.

But Bayless mistakenly fell for some fake news about Clark and White, falling for a fake report.

Bayless mistakenly reported that White had been fired.

"No surprise: Stephanie White reportedly out after repeated in-game clashes with Caitlin Clark. Not saying White was wrong - but YOU CAN'T SHOW UP THE FACE OF THE LEAGUE ON CAMERA. Caitlin obviously wants a favorite of hers from Iowa, Jan Jensen. But no way Jensen can coach both," he tweeted.

Bayless gets immediately corrected for his false tweet

The former Fox Sports 1 personality got immediately called out for his fake news report on Sunday night.

Chloe Peterson made it clear that White has not been fired.

"For those that have seen Skip Bayless' tweet about reports of Stephanie White being let go from the Fever: I'm told there is absolutely no validity to that report. Stephanie White is still the head coach in Indiana," she reported.

Bayless could apparently use a lesson on how to determine what's real and what's not on the internet these days.

Alas, there does appear to be some tension brewing in Indiana at the moment, but it's still very early in the 2026 WNBA season and the Fever have plenty of time to figure things out.

Still, all eyes are on White and Clark right now.
