Jaxson Dart Addressed Giants Teammates In Locker Room Meeting

It's fair to say New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is having an eventful offseason.

Dart made headlines on May 22 for introducing President Donald Trump at a campaign event at Rockland Community College in Suffern, New York. There weren't exactly a ton of Giants fans who had that meeting on their radar.

"What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here," Dart said. "Without further ado, I'm grateful, I'm honored, I'm pleasured to introduce the 45th and 47th president of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump."

Dart's decision to introduce Trump last Friday didn't sit well with Abdul Carter, who called him out on social media. Although they settled their differences over the weekend, the fallout wasn't over yet.

According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport, the Giants had Dart address his teammates in a meeting on Wednesday.

"Other team leaders spoke up as well, and Dart and the players worked through it," Garafolo said. "They are moving forward."

Hopefully, the Giants can turn the page and focus on the 2026 season.

High expectations for Jaxson Dart.

Dart had 2,272 passing yards, 487 rushing yards and 24 total touchdowns for the Giants during his rookie season. Despite being highly productive, he received just one first-place vote for AP Offensive Rookie of the Year.

"I guess more people have conversations and things to say about me sliding that has nothing to do with my play on the field," Dart told the New York Post. "…Turn off the pictures of the players and just look at the numbers, I feel like they speak for themselves, I don't need to argue that. I have respect for the other guys that were part of it. … It's a chip on my shoulder for sure."

We'll see if Dart can take his game to another level this fall.
