NASCAR Fans Pushing For Shakeup To FOX's Announcing Team

NASCAR's fan base is pushing for a major shakeup to FOX's announcing team following Memorial Day Weekend.

FOX's A-team wasn't on the call of the races in Charlotte over the weekend, as the network handled coverage of the Indy 500. Jamie Little, who typically serves as FOX's No. 1 sideline reporter, was replaced by Eric Brennan, who came in and covered Friday's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Charlotte.

The race, won by Layne Riggs, had a top five rounded out by Kaden Honeycutt, Connor Zilisch, Ben Rhodes and Gio Ruggiero. Meanwhile, NASCAR Cup Series drivers like Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Shane van Gisbergen and Ross Chastain were in the race too.

It was of course an emotional weekend, following the death of Kyle Busch at 41 years old.

Brennan received a lot of praise for his performance over the weekend.

NASCAR fans are pushing for Brennan to be part of the A-team moving forward

NASCAR fans are pushing for Brennan to be part of the A-team at FOX moving forward, in place of Little.

"He handled the booth superbly. I adore Jamie Little - she does such a great job on pit road in Cup. Thought she would be a great fit in the booth as well… But listening to Eric today confirms that he is a much better fit there. A natural. Sad to say, hoping Fox sees it as well and makes the change. Before the end of this season. PS - Jamie is doing great work with Indy coverage today!" one fan wrote.

"I think the best and highest use of Jamie's talent is to have her in the pits. She is so exceptionally good at it. And Eric was phenomenal this weekend. I think it just makes sense," one fan added.

"His performance in the booth cemented his place in the sport for decades to come. It was near flawless," one shared.

"If Adam gets promoted to replace Mike Joy. Eric should replace him on The CW, his talent shouldn't be wasted at Fox," one fan shared.

"I like how Mikey even complimented the way Eric phrases things at one point during the broadcast. He's a wordsmith and excellent broadcaster," one fan added.

Does FOX need to consider a shakeup to its broadcasting team following Memorial Day Weekend?
