Bucks Linked to Real-Deal Point Guard in NBA Draft

The Milwaukee Bucks don’t have a super high pick in the upcoming 2026 NBA draft, but they do go at No. 10, and this draft class is so rich with talent that they’ll easily be able to snag a superstar.

In a mock out on Saturday, May 23, Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report names his projections for the upcoming draft. He has them taking point guard Kingston Flemings of Houston.

“With Giannis Antetokounmpo awaiting his ticket out of town, the Bucks better plan on approaching this pick with their next chapter as the focus,” he states. “They should chase the most upside they can find here, although in this mock they don’t have to absorb too much risk to gain a potentially substantial reward.”

He adds: “Flemings’ measurements weren’t great at the Combine, but he was predictably awesome in the athletic testing and wildly encouraging in shooting drills. He looks like the real deal, even if he’s a tad undersized.”

Flemings is an elite athlete who can get to top speed in a way most guards just can’t match, but it never feels like it rushes him. The game doesn't speed him up, which is usually the first thing that separates real lead guards from everyone else.

What stands out most is how naturally he runs an offense. He’s got real floor general instincts, good feel in sticky situations and he plays with a kind of edge and confidence that sets the tone for everyone around him.
