Bill Belichick Fires Accusations At CBS Over Infamous Jordon Hudson Interview

In 2025, Bill Belichick was interviewed for CBS's "Sunday Morning" show. The show, which airs on Sunday mornings, is far from hard-hitting, investigative journalism. It's the type of feel-good show that you can watch with breakfast. Belichick's interview was meant to show off his NFL success and his transition from the pros to the college football level. But that's not what happened.

Instead, a CBS News reporter's interaction with Belichick's 20-something girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, hijacked the episode. Behind-the-scenes footage of Hudson expressing her unhappiness with the interview went viral. Headlines were written.

Now, about a year later, Belichick is firing accusations at CBS, over the viral interview moment.

Belichick appeared on Sean Hannity's show this week. During his interview on "Hang Out with Sean Hannity," Belichick accused CBS News of deception.

The six-time Super Bowl-winning NFL head coach spoke out on what happened.

Belichick fires accusations against CBS News

Belichick believes that CBS edited the interview "deceptively."

"I thought that the interview I had with them was done very deceptively," Belichick told Hannity, in an episode of his show that will be available Tuesday morning. "I've asked for the transcript from them, and they won't give it to me."

During the 2025 interview, Hudson said Belichick was "not talking about this" when he was asked by anchor Tony Dokoupil about how they met. The couple has a near 50-year age gap.

"Some of the clips make it appear as though we were avoiding the question of how we met, but we have been open about the fact that Jordon and I met on a flight to Palm Beach in 2021," he said in a statement at the time.

Belichick told Hannity that he was disappointed in CBS.

"Kind of confused about… some of the things that they say they are, but I don't really see them living up to the trust that they… talk about," he said.

Belichick, meanwhile, accused CBS of using deceptive editing in other areas, including the political world.

"They've done that with others, I'm not really sure what that policy is," he said.

"As we've seen recently, there have been more editing problems, and they go back to, over a couple of years, multiple examples of editing."

CBS stands by the interview.

"When we agreed to speak with Mr. Belichick, it was for a wide-ranging interview," CBS' statement read. "There were no preconditions or limitations to this conversation. This was confirmed repeatedly with his publisher before the interview took place and after it was completed."

Belichick is entering Year 2 at North Carolina this fall.
