Knicks' Mike Brown Delivers OG Anunoby Injury Update
The New York Knicks were without OG Anunoby in Friday night’s Game 3 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Anunoby suffered a right hamstring injury during the closing minutes of Wednesday night’s Game 2 win at Madison Square Garden. The talented two-way forward exited the game with just over three minutes remaining and did not return.
Anunoby was listed as questionable to play in Game 3 before he was ultimately ruled out.
On Saturday, Knicks head coach Mike Brown provided an update regarding Ahunoby’s injury status. The New York forward is considered “day-to-day” and his status for Sunday’s Game 4 matchup is still up in the air.
“Mike Brown says OG Anunoby (hamstring) remains day-to-day, so no change in his status from that perspective. Brown says decision is solely medical staff’s. Brown initimated that if NYK medical staff tells Brown that Anunoby is OK to play tomorrow, he will play,” Knicks insider Ian Begley of SNY reports.

Even if Anunoby is healthy enough to play on Sunday, it may make sense for the Knicks to hold him off the court.
New York holds a commanding 3-0 lead in the series. Even without Anunoby on the floor, the Knicks recorded a convincing road-game victory with 108-94 final score in Game 3.

If the Knicks can closeout the series with a sweep in Game 4, they can earn some extra recovery time for Anunoby as they prepare for the Eastern Conference Finals.
Game 4 will tipoff at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.
