NBA Makes Jaylen Brown Announcement in Celtics' Game 6 Loss
Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics failed to close out their first-round NBA playoffs series against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night.
The Celtics were already up 3-1 in this series after Game 4. They lost Game 5 at home on Tuesday. Boston suffered a second consecutive loss on Thursday at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
Brown finished with a team-high 18 points on 7-of-17 shooting, to go along with one rebound, two assists and two three-pointers. The five-time All-Star, however, turned the ball over five times in 28 minutes of play.
Brown's effort was far from enough for the Celtics. The 76ers blew them out on Thursday, 106-93.
The silver lining for Brown is that he made a bit of history in the game. He climbed the all-time leaderboards for three-pointers made in the postseason.
The NBA took to social media to announce Brown's latest career milestone.
"Congrats to @FCHWPO of the @celtics for moving up to 15th on the all-time playoffs 3-POINTERS MADE list!" the league posted on X.

Brown passed Celtics legend Paul Pierce on the all-time list. He is now just nine three-pointers away from Los Angeles Lakers icon Derek Fisher, who is No. 14 on the list.
The bad news for Brown and the Celtics is that they are now in serious danger of exiting in the first round. They have allowed the Sixers to tie this series 3-3, with the do-or-die Game 7 scheduled for Saturday.
Brown and Co. will host Game 7 at TD Garden, so they will have home-court advantage. There's no denying, however, that all the momentum is with the Sixers right now.
