Arch Manning Predicted to Land With This Team in 2027 NFL Draft
The 2026 NFL Draft just ended, but it’s never too early to look forward to what might be coming next.
Especially if next year’s draft might be an all-time generational one for quarterbacks.
ESPN released a mock draft on Thursday, predicting not only at what blue-chip prospects will be taken in the first round but what teams will be in the position to select those players.
At the top of the board, the heir of football’s most royal family, Arch Manning of the Texas Longhorns, is projected to be the No. 1 overall selection.
But where is the young prince going?
Well, hopefully Manning enjoys the desert.

“Pairing Manning with Jeremiyah Love would give the Cardinals two elite building blocks. Manning, at 6-foot-4, 219 pounds, is a sturdy dual-threat quarterback,” wrote ESPN’s Jordan Reid. “He finished with 3,163 passing yards, 26 touchdown throws and seven interceptions in his first year as a starter while adding 10 rushing touchdowns. … He has all the traits of a No. 1 pick — he just needs to unlock the next stage of his development.”
It would be an interesting development if the Cardinals land the No. 1 selection heading into 2027, as they used their third-round pick on Miami Hurricanes signal-caller Carson Beck.
Although it might seem unorthodox, it would be nothing new for Arizona. In 2018, they used a first-round pick on UCLA Bruins star Josh Rosen in a QB-heavy draft that included Josh Allen, Sam Darnold, and Lamar Jackson.
Yet, following a so-so rookie season and landing the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Cardinals went on to take Kyler Murray as their new franchise player under center.
Sometimes the past can foreshadow the future, and if the Cardinals have the No. 1 pick, that might be the case with Manning.
