Seattle Storm's Lexie Brown Denies Klay Thompson-Megan Thee Stallion Rumors

Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion put four-time NBA champion Klay Thompson on blast for “cheating” and confirmed to TMZ that she had broken up with the former Golden State Warriors star and current Dallas Mavericks guard.

“Cheating,” Hot Girl Meg posted to her Instagram Story on Saturday. “Had me around your whole family playing house… Got ‘cold feet.’ Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season [and] now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’???? [Expletive] I need a REAL break after this one. Bye y’all.”

Shortly thereafter, Megan Thee Stallion’s representative provided this statement to TMZ: “I've made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity, and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I'm taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”

Internet sleuths have been scrambling in an effort to identify with whom Klay allegedly cheated on Megan Thee Stallion. Somehow, Seattle Storm guard Lexie Brown was thrown into the mix.

Brown would like everyone to leave her out of it.

“I’ve seen what’s being said online, and I want to be clear, none of it is true, and I have no involvement in this situation,” Brown wrote on her Instagram Story on Sunday. “This week marks the start of an important and exciting new season for me, and my focus is fully on that.”

Brown was the ninth overall pick of the Connecticut Sun in the 2018 WNBA Draft and has played for Connecticut, the Minnesota Lynx, the Chicago Sky, the Los Angeles Sparks, and the Storm throughout her career. She won a WNBA championship with the Sky in 2021, and she’s entering her second season in Seattle. The WNBA’s preseason is underway, and its 30th season officially begins on May 8.

Megan Thee Stallion and Thompson publicly confirmed their relationship last July, and they’ve only ever seemed very much in love since then.

Megan Thee Stallion, one of pop culture’s biggest stars, captured the zeitgeist yet again by releasing “LOVER GIRL” last October. Thompson even renamed his boat the “SS Stallion.” They each posted several joint workout videos, and Meg posted a TikTok showing her cooking for the entire Thompson family last Thanksgiving.

Ultimately, however, their relationship became the latest lesson that there’s always more than meets the public eye. Megan Thee Stallion epitomized that by crying on the Al Hirschfeld Theatre stage hours after publicizing her split from Thompson.

Megan Thee Stallion has been starring as Zidler in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” since March 24 and will continue in her Broadway debut role until May 17. Thompson, meanwhile, recently expressed uncertainty over his future with the Mavericks.
