Closeout Day in NBA and NHL? Tonight's Must-Watch Games

Is it Closeout Day in the NBA Playoffs and NHL Playoffs? For some teams, in might be.

Here are Lindy's top sports events to keep an eye on for Monday, April 27.

NBA Playoffs, Game 4: Oklahoma Thunder at Phoenix Suns (9:30 p.m. ET)

The Thunder are the top seed in the Western Conference Playoffs and they're playing like it, handling the Suns by double figures in all three games so far. OKC can complete the sweep with a win here in the desert.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been unstoppable, dropping 42 points in Game 3 to fuel a 121-109 win. OKC's elite defense, depth and pace have overwhelmed Phoenix, which is fighting injuries and inconsistency.

Suns star Devin Booker has scored 23, 22 and 16 points in the three games. The Suns have lost 11 straight playoff games when Booker hasn't scored at least 30 points.

NBA Playoffs: Minnesota Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets (10:30 p.m. ET)

The sixth-seeded Wolves are one win from a first-round upset. Minnesota got 43 points off the bench from Ayo Dosunmu in a 112-96 Game 4 victory, going up 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Minnesota suffered a pair of key injuries in Game 4, including an important one to star Anthony Edwards, who will miss at least the rest of the series with a knee injury. Three-time MVP Nikola Jokic must now lead the Nuggets to three straight victories and it starts here in Denver.

More Fantasy MLB:

A Wolves win clinches the series, but can they get it done without Edwards again? Expect urgency from both sides in a hostile Ball Arena, especially after the dustup at the end of Game 3 between Jokic and the Wolves.

NHL Playoffs: Philadelphia Flyers at Pittsburgh Penguins (9 p.m. ET)

The Flyers close eliminate their Keystone State rivals in Game 5 of their best-of-7 series. Sidney Crosby and the Penguins staved off a sweep with a 4-2 victory, getting the series back to the Steel City.

Philadelphia's defense had limited Pittsburgh to two goals or less in the first three games. Now the younger, momentum-driven Flyers get three more chances to close out a veteran Penguins squad.

MLB: Chicago Cubs at San Diego Padres (9:40 p.m. ET)

It's a showdown between two of the top teams in the National League and in all of MLB. The Cubs (17-11) and Padres (18-9) are just behind the Atlanta Braves (20-9) for the best record in baseball.

Chicago had won 10 straight before a pair of weekend losses to the Dodgers in L.A. San Diego started the season 2-5 but has bounced back in a big way.

Matthew Boyd (1-1, 5.79 ERA) starts for Chicago against Randy Vásquez (2-0, 1.88 ERA) for San Diego in the first game of this three-game series.
