NASCAR Weather: Rain Forecast for Talladega This Weekend
This weekend the NASCAR schedule turns to Talladega Superspeedway. Three races in two days, and that could change into three races in a single day if the weather doesn't cooperate.
There will be ARCA Menards Series, O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, and Cup Series racing this weekend at Talladega. No Truck Series action once again.
Friday evening features ARCA practice and O'Reilly Series qualifying. The real concern is about what will happen on Saturday.
Date | Race(s) | Weather |
4/25/2026 | ARCA 76 - 12:45 PM ET | Rain and thunderstorms throughout the day. High of 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Races could be pushed to Sunday with no lights at Talladega. 75% chance of rain. |
4/26/2026 | NCS Jack Link's 500 - 3:00 PM ET | Cloudy, 20% chance of rain. High of 80 degrees Fahrenheit. ARCA and NOAPS could race prior to and following the Cup Series in case of a rain out on Saturday. |
So, it's not looking great for Saturday. There are chances of rain and storms throughout the day and the chance of getting two races started and finished before sundown is slim to none. Talladega Superspeedway doesn't have lights, it is a logistics issue with where the track is, access to the track and other issues.
ARCA will not have qualifying. The lineup will be set by the points standings. NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts qualifying on Friday night should be fine with no concern for the weather. It sure would be nice if the forecast could change and quickly.
If ARCA and NOAPS get rained out on Saturday, it creates an interesting situation for NASCAR. ARCA before the Cup Series and then NOAPS afterward seems to be the most likely option right now. We will have to wait and see if Mother Nature comes in and disrupts the weekend schedule.
