Rams Must Add Support for Matthew Stafford at No. 13 in NFL Draft
A little over two months since the Seattle Seahawks downed the New England Patriots to win the Super Bowl, the new season of the NFL is officially ready to kick off in full on Thursday night in Pittsburgh for the 2026 NFL Draft.
While the world’s worst-kept secret is that the Las Vegas Raiders will be selecting Heisman Award winner and national champion quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the first overall pick, the fun begins after the Indiana signal-caller puts on the silver and black for the first time.
As we count down the clock to the first pick, per Kalshi, the prediction website, here is who the Los Angeles Rams are expected to be looking at with their No. 13 selection in tonight’s festivities.

Makai Lemon (36%)
Will the USC Trojan stay home in Los Angeles?
While on paper it seems like a perfect fit, the only question is whether Lemon and Puka Nacua can coexist as two similar players on the field. But with Nacua doing more damage out wide and continually establishing himself as one of the best one-on-one receivers in football, Lemon might be the perfect secondary punch for the Rams’ receiving core for the next decade.
If Lemon lives up to his potential, the Rams might have found their next Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt.
Monroe Freeling (16%)
Great teams can always get more depth on the offensive line, and the Rams know this.
When Matthew Stafford has time to throw, as we saw last season, he’s the MVP of the league. The Rams need to keep the pocket clean for their 38-year-old, immobile quarterback, and the Georgia Bulldog Monroe Freeling would do just that.
Kenyon Sadiq (14%)
No team utilizes their tight ends as much as the Rams, and Sadiq is the type of athlete who can not only play in that big-bodied role but also moonlight as a wide receiver.
He’s the type of pass catcher that head coach Sean McVay loves to use, and with former Oregon teammate Terrance Ferguson already on the team, the future of the Rams’ tight end room might be imported from Eugene.
