NBA 2K26 Patch Notes: New Update Targets MyNBA and MyPark
The NBA playoffs are here, and with that comes the tail end of the content cycle for NBA 2K26. As the real-life postseason ramps up, updates on the virtual hardwood are starting to shift from major feature drops to targeted fixes. That trend continued today, as a new patch quietly rolled out-focused more on stability and quality-of-life improvements than gameplay changes.
Patch v6.2 Focuses on Park, MyNBA, and Stability Fixes
According to the NBA 2K26 official Discord channel, Patch v6.2 delivers a small but meaningful set of updates across multiple modes. The most noticeable change comes in Old Town Park, where the team reduced the frequency of 2K Cam camera adjustments on 2v2 courts. According to official patch notes, this change is part of a broader update that is still rolling out, aimed at improving visual consistency during gameplay.
Over in MyNBA, the patch addresses a more impactful issue. A Playoffs bracket bug that could prevent advancement when using "Start Today" has now been resolved. With many players jumping into postseason scenarios, this fix ensures franchise runs won't stall during the most critical stretch of the season.
PC players also benefit from a targeted stability fix. The update resolves a hang tied to equipping a Season 6 Level 39 Cyborg mod piece alongside certain shoes, eliminating a frustrating crash scenario tied to specific gear combinations.
March Update Targeted Competitive Integrity
Today's patch follows the March Update (Patch Notes 5.1), which took a much more aggressive approach toward online play. That update introduced protections against network manipulation, including measures designed to combat "lag switching" tactics across Park, The Theater, and The REC.
According to official patch notes, those protections were designed to improve competitive integrity and reduce unfair advantages in online multiplayer environments. The update also required a full restart and included ongoing live updates, signaling a continued effort to monitor and respond to evolving exploits.
Patch Summary:
- Reduced 2K Cam camera adjustments in Old Town Park 2v2 courts
- Broader camera-related update still rolling out
- Fixed MyNBA Playoffs bracket bug preventing progression in "Start Today"
- Resolved PC hang tied to Season 6 Level 39 Cyborg mod and certain shoes
- March Patch 5.1 added anti-cheat protections against lag switching
- Network manipulation fixes applied across Park, Theater, and REC
- Continued focus on competitive integrity and fair online play
