Blue Jays Make Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Announcement After Diamondbacks Game
Toronto Blue Jaysfirst basemanVladimir Guerrero Jr. has had a phenomenal career in Major League Baseball thus far. Playing in his eighth year in the majors, Guerrero has put up a career slash line of .289/.367/.494 with an OPS of .860, totaling 184 home runs.
He has been selected to five All-Star Games, won two American League Silver Slugger Awards, one Gold Glove and he was named the MVP of the American League Championship Series in 2025.
The 27-year-old has been on a tear lately, hitting safely in all of his past 10 games, putting up a .425 batting average in those games.
With the help of his 10-game hitting streak, Guerrero has improved his season statistics tremendously. Through 21 games, he is batting .333 with an OPS of .864. While he has only hit one long ball, he's been able to help the Blue Jays' lineup in multiple ways.
On Sunday, as Toronto dismantled the Arizona Diamondbacks in a 10-4 victory to avoid a series sweep, Guerrero went 3-for-5 at the plate with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs.
These two runs driven in were his 600th and 601st RBIs of his career. After the game, the Blue Jays made an announcement congratulating Guerrero on this achievement.
"600 Career RBIs Congratulations, Vladdy," the caption read.
