Bryson DeChambeau Called Out For 'Childish' Behavior At LIV Golf Event
Bryson DeChambeau withdrew from the final round of LIV Golf's event in Mexico City this weekend.
"I experienced some discomfort in my wrist during [Saturday's] round and have decided to withdraw from the final round of LIV Golf Mexico City to prevent further injury," DeChambeau said in a statement posted on social media.
DeChambeau, a former U.S. Open champion, is hoping to play at LIV Golf Virginia, scheduled for May 7-10.
But over the course of the weekend, DeChambeau called out the course conditions, making it clear he wasn't a fan.
"You got destroyed grass… oh this is rough," he said.
"Guys this is what we're playing on apparently!"
Golf fans are ripping DeChambeau for 'childish' behavior
"Wouldn't survive three holes at half the courses in the world," one fan wrote.
"At any municipal course that's a great lie. I understand what he's saying but his ball was fine. Also, it's not the course's fault you can't hit a bunker shot because your wedges have bulge and are the length of a fishing rod," one fan added.
"He was so close to telling everyone to go back to their shanties," one fan added.
"This course is as bad as any muni I've ever played. This will how LIV Golf will end. Not with a bang, but a whimper," one fan added.
"I can not fathom how a single person would like this guy. Bro is the definition of whiny crybaby manchild Oh hold up…there's a whole demographic of those! THAT is his fan base!" one fan added.
It's a rough look for Bryson, that's clear.
