DEVELOPING: PITTSBURGH - The start of Saturday's game was moved up from 4:05 p.m. to 3:30 due to a forecast of rain later in the day.
Both teams were notified of the decision in the early afternoon. Manager Kevin Cash it was the right move and the Rays had no trouble adjusting.
"It makes total sense," Cash said. I understand we've got weather coming in and want to get the game in. I would imagine both teams would sign up for playing now than a doubleheader (Sunday). So they could have the game at 9:30 (a.m.) for all I care."
A sellout crowd was expected at PNC Park with a Paul Skenes bobblehead giveaway.
