Seahawks Select Kenneth Walker Replacement in Mel Kiper Jr. Mock Draft
The Seattle Seahawks are still riding high after a Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots.
Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak left to become the head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders, and Super Bowl MVP and star running back Kenneth Walker III signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency in a pair of big losses.
The Seahawks still have Zach Charbonnet at the RB position, but bringing in another rusher seems to be a likely scenario at some point in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Seahawks don't have many picks, and they also don't have many areas to address, so selecting an RB early figures to be a realistic scenario.
ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. had a new mock draft, and he has Seattle taking Notre Dame RB Jadarian Price at No. 32 overall.
Price was the backup to Heisman Trophy finalist Jeremiyah Love, but Price is a talented player.
"Seattle has to make every pick count, with four total selections (least in the league) and picking at the end of each round. I originally considered projecting Arizona to trade up into this spot simply because the Seahawks would welcome any additional draft capital, but I wasn't convinced we'd actually get an in-division trade like that involving a quarterback pick. Instead, Seattle stays home and closes out Round 1 with our second running back off the board," Kiper wrote.
Can Price be an RB1 in the NFL?
Price spent his entire career at Notre Dame as Love's backup, so his numbers aren't what they would've been if he were the RB1 somewhere else.
Still, he had 746 yards and seven scores in 2024, then 674 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2025, so he was a valuable piece to the offense in South Bend.

"Price might not have been the RB1 at Notre Dame, but he can be one in the NFL. He's powerful and fast, averaging 6.0 yards per carry over his career and scoring 11 touchdowns last season," Kiper wrote.
There is a very realistic path to both Notre Dame running backs hearing their names called in Round 1, and they are considered the RB1 and RB2 of this class.
