Chop Robinson leaves Ravens loss with concussion
Chop Robinson was escorted off the Hard Rock Stadium field midway through the second quarter with a towel draping his head the entire 60-yard walk.
The Miami Dolphins pass rusher, who was the team’s 2024 first-round pick, sustained a concussion on defense during Thursday night’s 28-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Robinson’s injury left the Dolphins to finish the game with Jaelan Phillips, Bradley Chubb, Matt Judon and Cameron Goode as the team’s only edge rushers for the second half. The Dolphins had been using Phillips, Chubb, Robinson and Judon in a four-player rotation this season.
Robinson had contributed eight tackles and one sack in the 200 snaps he had played this season.
Robinson will be required to pass the NFL’s four-stage concussion protocol to return to practice, and to games. His symptoms must first subside, He must pass a baseline concussion test, then practice without experiencing any contact, and then practice without his symptoms returning.
This season, no Dolphins player who sustained a concussion has returned the next week.
