2024 Life Time Miami Marathon and Half Marathon registration open. Sellout expected

Registration has opened for the 2024 Life Time Miami Marathon, but it likely won’t be open for long.

The 22nd Miami Marathon and Half Marathon is set for Sunday, January 28, 2024, outside the Kaseya Center, at 601 Biscayne Boulevard, with the finish nearby at Bayfront Park.

Registration will again be capped at 18,000, and a waiting list will be established once that limit is reached.

“We’re predicting registration will be full by the end of September,’’ said Frankie Ruiz, co-founder of the Miami Marathon and Chief Running Officer at Life Time. “We’re already over 60-percent full and ahead of last year.’’

Ruiz said the marathon, which draws runners from all 50 states and more than 70 countries, “is starting to close earlier and earlier every year, and that’s a great sign of the reputation of the race.”

“We’re working with a lot more big groups coming from outside of the U.S. that are booking large blocks in hotels and committing significant chunks of entries. It’s a testament to the health of the Florida running industry and that it’s being seen as a race you can no longer decide to run in the day before.”

The Men’s and Women’s U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials will be held in Orlando Feb. 3, the week after the Miami Marathon. “We’re part of that energy and excitement of Florida running,’’ Ruiz said.
