A former Miami Hurricanes star played a pivotal role in the Los Angeles Lakers taking a 3-1 series lead over the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors.

Lonnie Walker IV scored 15 points in a fourth-quarter comeback victory to propel the Lakers on the brink of the Western Conference finals.

The Warriors held a 12-point lead late in the third quarter, before Walker erupted on 6 of 9 shooting, which included the go-ahead basket with 1:53 remaining.

“We don’t win this game tonight without Lonnie Walker, that’s for sure,” LeBron James said., according to the Associated Press. “As hard as this game was, it’s going to be even harder. We understand that. We know that.”
