Winner of Tom Brady’s ‘final TD pass’ auction that was voided revealed to be from Miami
Tom Brady’s decision to return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers less than two months into his retirement nearly cost someone more than $518,000.
That was the price of a winning bid at an auction for Brady’s final touchdown pass of the 2021 NFL season. The auction ended less than 24 hours before Brady’s change of heart with retirement.
And after the sale was recently voided, the anonymous buyer has revealed his identity.
Miami commercial real estate broker Ron Firman spoke to “Inside Edition” about the whirlwind process.
“At first, I couldn’t believe it,” Firman told Inside Edition. “Is this possible? How could this be happening?”
The outlet reported Firman said he planned to work with the auction house to have the football placed at a museum for public viewing, despite the hefty $518,628 price tag.
And what if Brady retires for real at the end of this season?
“I’m going to be bidding on that ball again,” Firman told Inside Edition.
