The Florida Gators are in the running to land the 247Sports’ consensus No. 1-ranked football recruit for the Class of 2023.

And he comes from football royalty.

Arch Manning, the nephew of Peyton and Eli and grandson of Archie Manning, has several suitors to choose from. According to a recent 247Sports report, Manning has added Florida and LSU to his interest list.

That list also includes Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss and Texas. Manning visited those schools last summer and for games in the fall, 247Sports report.

The only program Manning no longer is considering is Clemson, according to various reports.

A 6-foot-4, 215-pound five-star quarterback, Manning’s stat line for his career at Isidore Newman High in New Orleans is dazzling. He has thrown for more than 6,300 yards with 81 passing and 19 rushing touchdowns as a three-year starter.

He tallied more than 2,000 passing yards, 26 touchdowns and four interceptions as a junior, according to USA Today.
