LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard create viral meme in closing seconds of NBA return
It took just one night for the NBA’s return to produce an instant viral moment.
Two of the NBA’s biggest stars, LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard, created a meme that took off on social media in the closing seconds of Thursday’s game between the Lakers and Clippers — a game originally scheduled for early April that was delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic, COVID-19, that’s caused a global pandemic this year.
James’ tight defense on Leonard as the clock wound down, which forced Leonard to pass a last-second shot off that Paul George missed in a 103-101 loss to the Lakers, turned into a viral meme for the look Leonard gave.
