Watch NFL star Lamar Jackson, a South Florida native, avoiding a jet ski disaster

South Florida native Lamar Jackson, the NFL’s reigning Most Valuable Player, was seen on video taking a tumble over a jetski while playing beach football.

The video was posted to social media channels Twitter and Instagram.

In February 2019, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes received an edict from the organization that he was to no longer play recreation basketball when video surfaced of him playing pickup games. Mahomes won the Super Bowl in Miami this past February over the San Francisco 49ers.

Jackson, the star of the Baltimore Ravens last season, is shown in the video scrambling from the pocket in the beach football game. During the final seconds, he looks to avoid a tackle, while going over a jet ski stationed in the water.

Here’s a look at the video:

Twitter users reacted with references to the 1991 movie, “Point Break,” that featured Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze, as well as a reference to the infamous “Madden Curse.”

Jackson, who played high school football at Boynton Beach in Palm Beach County, announced in April he’ll be the on the cover of the iconic video game series’ newest installment, ‘Madden 21.’
