The AP All-American team was announced. Here are the players who made the cut
The Associated Press All-American Team was announced Tuesday, just days away from the Final Four taking place in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
And only one first team selection is on a team competing at the Final Four.
Michigan State’s Cassius Winston was joined on the AP All-American First Team by Duke freshman phenom Zion Williamson, his freshman teammate RJ Barrett, Tennessee’s Grant Williams and Murray State star Ja Morant.
Williamson and Barrett became the first freshman teammates to be AP All-American First Team selections since Kentucky’s John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins in 2010. That was also the only other time in history that freshman teammates made it in the same season.
Williamson, Morant and Barrett are expected to take the first three spots in this summer’s NBA Draft, according to most mock drafts and experts.
