Care Resource Connects Miami Residents to Vital Health Services at U4C
Care Resource Community Health Centers. Inc. proudly hosted its annual United 4 Care (U4C) Health Fair at José Martí Park, creating a vibrant space for health, wellness, and community connection. The free event drew hundreds of residents for a day focused on “Your Health. Your Community. Your Day.”
From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, attendees accessed free health screenings - including blood pressure, blood sugar, HIV testing, flu shots, diabetes checks, and cancer screenings - alongside expert guidance on insurance, prevention, and local health resources.
Highlights included:
- The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Game Changer Mobile Unit, offering free screenings for colorectal, prostate, cervical, liver, and lung cancer, plus wellness checks like BMI, cholesterol, and glucose.
- Diabetes risk assessments, empowering individuals to prevent complications and take control of their health.
- Alzheimer’s Association Brain Bus, providing education on early detection, risk reduction, and caregiving resources.
- Free flu shots from Care Resource’s pharmacy team — no appointment needed.
- Affordable Care Act enrollment assistance, helping participants secure coverage for 2026.
- Beyond medical care, U4C celebrated community spirit with live music, giveaways, boxed lunches, and family-friendly activities, reinforcing Care Resource’s mission to make prevention easy, accessible, and close to home.
