Friday morning I visited the Davie-Cooper City Library and found the parking lot, once again, a mess of abandoned signs left behind by the candidates’ boosters at the polls.
Although it may sound foolish, the signs are supported by wires. Some of these wires have been pulled out and bent upward. Children not watching where they are going are my principal concern for safety. But blown car tires are an unnecessary expense to worry about, as well. I won’t even mention the many cigarette butts. Trash cans are needed on site.
District library managers should make sure these folks clean up their mess and not leave an eyesore for the public or someone else to clean up. They represent a candidate, and this is a bad example.
