A Wilder memory

I enjoyed showing my wife from the Philippines some of Gene Wilder’s more memorable scenes on YouTube from “Blazing Saddles,” “Young Frankenstein,” “The Woman in Red” and other movies.

However, when they played “Pure Imagination,” from “Willy Wonka” on the radio recently, now that, she knew! It’s nice that, even half a planet and generation away, American humor and goodness touches people’s lives in an absolutely delightful way.
