Don’t release Salazar

Re the Feb. 7 article Man who killed sister makes plea: I cannot fathom what would possess anyone to think that Ronald Salazar can be rehabilitated enough to be returned to society.

The reasoning is that “science has shown that young people’s brains have not fully developed, and that juveniles are prone to impulse and peer pressure.” What kind of peer pressure or impulse would cause a 14-year-old to brutally strangle, rape and then slit the throat of his 11-year-old sister? For Judge Ellen Sue Venzer to even consider unleashing this monster back into society is a crime in itself.
