Regalado’s empty seat

We all know that every citizen has a key to the courthouse for the purpose of filing meritorious lawsuits. While Raquel Regalado and Norman Braman have teamed up to block Miami-Dade’s subsidizing of the SkyRise Miami observation tower, (Auto magnate joins Regalado in lawsuit over SkyRise money, Feb. 6), Regalado is credited with leading the opposition to public funding of a new county courthouse.

The real issue is who is keeping watch over her Miami-Dade School Board seat while she is busy planning her anticipated county or city mayoral run. Seems those being penalized most are the remainder of the board, Miami-Dade teachers, school administration and the hundreds of thousands of students who may be represented by an empty seat on the board.
