Bungled dismissal

Re the Feb. 6 story Scott admits to misstep in Bailey ouster, regarding the Florida Cabinet meeting during which Gov. Rick Scott read his scripted damage-control admission that he bungled the recent dismissal of FDLE Chief Gerald Bailey:

The balance of the discussions at the Cabinet meeting sounded like a round robin of dead ends, lip service and staged proposed clean-up initiatives designed to dull the public’s senses enough to make the whole incident and its fallout go away. Included in that is the plan that state Attorney General Pam Bondi’s office will train Cabinet staff members to comply with Florida’s open-meeting laws in the future.

I hope Scott will make a point to attend those trainings himself.
