Newsman’s poor excuse

Re the Feb. 6 article Critics shred Williams after apology: We live in an era of doubletalk. Wordcrafters whitewash lies with fancy descriptions that only add to the pile of lies. For example, Brian Williams defended his assertion that he was shot down by claiming that he “conflated” two events. Another popular synonym for a lie is misspoke. Call it what you want, we know what it really is.
