Zika mosquitoes
The winds have been blowing from the east and southeast. Perfect for the Zika-carrying mosquito to travel to the Wynwood area from ships docking at PortMiami.
The question is, Have the Zika mosquitos been traveling to Miami on cruise ships or hitching a ride on the back of a freighter from the Caribbean?
Experts say that most mosquito species have flight ranges of one to three miles. So they certainly did not take Uber to get here.
