Too many speeches
The Republican and Democratic conventions are similar in one respect: They are infected with prolixity from the political participants as well as from the caustic commentators.
From the rafters to the rostrum, their speeches extend to great lengths. They are unnecessarily loud as well as particular in every detail. They are tedious, tiresome and trifling. I will be glad when it is all over and we can silently slip into the voting booth and express our true feelings.
