Shooting mistake
Could someone have the courage, and decency to just say they made a very bad mistake.
The lame excuses of thinking the toy truck was anything other than the toy truck is beyond logic. The statement that the North Miami police officer was trying to shoot the other person, instead of the one who got shot, shows that remedial firearms training should be implemented at once.
And, stating the shooter is a member of SWAT, with decorations, only shows the obscenity of the mistake, and the attempts to so badly cover it up.
The president of the Miami-Dade PBA, John Rivera, just adds to the confusion with the excuses.
Just because you wear a uniform and badge, and carry a gun, that does not make you a cop.
A mistake is a mistake, there is no intent, just an unfortunate accident, that should not be made to look like anything but that. Mistakes are a way of mankind, most will pass the buck and make excuses, others will stand tall and admit the wrong and make it right.
