Koch brothers’ agenda
It is not overly hyperbolic that the greatest threat to U.S. democracy no longer comes from threats abroad like ISIS, but rather politicized plutocrats led by Charles and David Koch.
Witness the Jan. 27 article Budget for Koch-backed network: almost $1 billion for 2016, which details the Koch brothers’ plan to spend what amounts to $1 million per day, every day, until the 2016 presidential election to push a right-wing agenda aimed at rolling back health, environmental, labor and consumer protections.
Worse, the anticipated $900 million of this “dark money” will be shrouded in complete secrecy. Thanks to the Supreme Court’s atrocious Citizens United decision, more voters will find themselves bystanders as the super-elite further their push to own our government and democracy.
