Eliminate labels

How different would our opinions be if the news was reported to us without labels that allow us to immediately form a judgment even before we read or hear the article?

Almost every news feed coming at us defines the people in the article as black/white, Hispanic/Latin/Haitian/European, LGBT, man/woman or Democrat/Republican. This leads us to pre-judge.

Unfortunately, our society unknowingly promotes a prejudice by applying these labels when they are not always needed.

Taking it a step further, what if our political votes were based on not knowing the political party, but just the politician’s ideas?

You’d be surprised at what you really felt in your heart if you didn’t first learn the statement was from a particular label.
