How different would our opinions be if the news was reported to us without labels that allow us to immediately form a judgment even before we read or hear the article?
Almost every news feed coming at us defines the people in the article as black/white, Hispanic/Latin/Haitian/European, LGBT, man/woman or Democrat/Republican. This leads us to pre-judge.
Unfortunately, our society unknowingly promotes a prejudice by applying these labels when they are not always needed.
