Ripping off grandma
All my working life the government has taken a portion of my earnings to fund Medicare, which provides for the elderly and disabled. Turns out, all the money I put in, as well as all the money my entire high school class put in, and then some, is gone.
The June 23 article 100 arrested in S. Florida in nationwide crackdown explains that $10 billion is gone, because of fraud, waste and abuse. Who could steal from old folks and disabled people? In what culture is it OK to steal from grandma?
