Enforce laws

The June 24 editorial, Congress just can’t get its act together, missed several points. First, the 5 million undocumented immigrants are not “law abiding,” — they have already broken the law by being here illegally. While they may obey our laws while here, it doesn’t erase their initial offense.

Second, passing immigration reform is not necessary. We already have laws on the books, they’re just not being enforced. Why don’t Congress and President Obama seek to promote following our system of immigration law?

That’s what bi-partisanship should look like.
