De-radicalizing help
In the wake of recent terror attacks in our state, it’s time to be proactive in preventing the next one.
Research has shown that individuals who have become radicalized by Islamist organizations are one step closer to carrying out terror attacks. De-radicalization programs are a social service that provide pastoral care to disaffected Muslim youth. The programs foster an alternative narrative to Islamism grounded within the Islamic tradition.
These programs are designed to help young Muslims become productive Americans without compromising their faith. Florida needs to build a framework to offer de-radicalization programs.
