Miami is losing

First, the PGA yanked the popular golf event from Trump National Doral.

Second, the Miami Dolphins pre-season game has been moved to Orlando.

Third, all indications are that the popular Miami Tennis Open will be moved from Key Biscayne as soon as the governing body can arrange it.

What is the message here? Has money overtaken all other considerations? Does tradition and a long-standing sense of a “Miami event” not mean a thing any longer?

Many Miamians are sickened by these actions and wonder where city leaders were when these decisions were being made.

Margaret C. Hooper,

Fort Lauderdale
