Try a nursing career

As we are in the graduation season, I encourage young adults entering their first years of college to consider nursing as a career path.

Nursing is one of the noblest professional careers in today’s job market. As a registered nurse for more than 30 years, I want young graduates to be aware of the emotional and practical rewards that come with the job.

According to the Florida Center for Nursing, there will be a shortage of 56,000 nurses in Florida by 2025, which would have dire consequences for the state’s healthcare system and the quality of patient care it provides.

This looming shortage creates an immense opportunity for young professionals in the healthcare field to find a rewarding career and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
